Call To Action Button On Posts Is A New Facebook Feature

By Raza Isa

Facebook has a new feature intended to boost post click throughs. In only a few steps you will be able to add "call to action" buttons to your Facebook page. So far, testing indicates this will improve number of clicks. For example, you might post a notice about a webinar or newsletter and include a call to action. Facebook advertisers can also use call to action buttons.

When you use the call to action button for advertising, you will first need to install the Power Editor tool provided by Facebook. This is a simple task that anyone can perform. First you must install Google Chrome browser. The Google Chrome download site provides more instructions on installing and using the Power Editor.

Once you have installed the Google Chrome browser and the power editor, you will see your Facebook page and a list of any other pages you manage on the left hand side of the screen. Now you can begin creating your advertisement, message or post.

You can write your text, add a picture and create a link and headline then add your call to action. Choose whether the post is an ad or a simple post. You'll see the choice at the bottom. After you've finished composing your ad or post, you can preview it. Remember to publish it or set a time and date for it to be published. Click the green upload changes button at the top of the page.

Once you have completed these tasks, preview your work to be sure it is exactly what you want. You can now publish your post immediately or schedule it to be posted at a later date. You will see a green upload button in the upper portion of the page. Click this to complete your work. This little change in Facebook adds a lot of functionality and makes Facebook an even more powerful tool for getting your message out and eliciting positive and measurable results.
